I used KBS system for the first time in August 2007. I purchased a 1992 Chevrolet Lumina APV over the internet and had it shipped to me here in Cincinnati from an auto dealer in Parma Ohio. The car had been presented as a one owner in good condition. When I received the vehicle, I discovered it had rusted out rear wheel wells which allowed water to enter the passenger area and soak the carpet when driven in the rain. Obviously this discovery left me with a major problem and it had to be repaired or scrapped. Welding estimates & labor costs made the job too costly to have done by an auto repair shop. The vehicle body is made of fiberglass composite material so it looked great on the outside and had a great interior. It was well worth saving. I just needed a way to do that.
I found KBS on the internet and advertised in Hemmings Motor News. Your product is incredible and each KBS component does the job it claims to do extremely well. KBS saved my car! I was able to cut out the rusted areas in the wheel wells, treat the cargo area floor pan and the wheel wells with the KBS system. I fabricated stainless steel patches & used PC-7 epoxy to apply the 22 guage stainless steel patches.
This repair worked incredibly well because of the rust preventative and adhesion qualities of KBS and the KBS top coat really made a professional looking finish to the job. Each phase of the KBS treatment worked better than expected. I believe my restoration with KBS has not only saved what would have been a disaster but has left the vehicle in better condition that when new.
