Unlike normal two part coatings, no hardener is needed. You can just stir and go. DiamondFinish ClearCoat will cure without heat or UV lights in temperatures from 50° to 86° Fahrenheit.
Can be applied directly to a cured Automotive basecoat, Standard solid color paints, and Single Part or Two Part paints. It can also be applied to Non Ferrous metals including Aluminum, Alloys, Brass, Chrome and Copper.

DiamondFinish Clear - Coverage

Theoretical coverage at one mil (25 µm) is 400 sq.ft. per gallon/9.8 m² per liter. Recommended thickness of at least two mils (50 µm) would require at least two full coats. At least three coats recommended for marine applications. Material losses during mixing and application will vary and must be taken into consideration. Please expect up to 50% less coverage on bare wood, rough or sandblasted surfaces.

Q: Can you use Diamondfinish Clear Coat on 1986 fiberglass Bass boat top plate? Has been wet sanded.

A: Yes. Wipe the fiberglass surface down with KBS Klean. Allow to dry. Then apply the DiamondFinish Clear. It would be best to apply 2-3 coats for a marine application.

Q: Does the clean diamond finish clear coat come in a matte or satin finish?

A: At this time, the DiamondFinish Clear comes in a Gloss Finish. However, you can lightly sand the DiamondFinish Clear with steel wool after 24 hours to knock down the sheen.

Q: Can diamond finish clear be used over rust seal? I'm looking to use rust seal as a color base coat on some automotive components (steering rack, transmission, differential...etc) and use clear to provide the UV protective layer/topcoat

A: We do not recommend putting DiamondFinish Clear over RustSeal because although DiamondFinish Clear is absolutely UV stable, DiamondFinish Clear does not block the UV rays from getting through to the RustSeal. Over an extended period of time, DiamondFinish Clear can delaminate from RustSeal when exposed to prolonged sunlight.

We always recommend a solid color UV stable top coat paint (such as BlackTop or KBS Maxx) over RustSeal if RustSeal will be exposed to sunlight.

	I make fishing lures
	I use the Diamond Finish Clear as a final coat on the fishing lures I make. I have tried many types of sealers including the clear coat sold by the fishing supply websites. Nothing has worked as good as the Diamond Finish, it goes on easy, I use 2 coats sometimes three depending on the lure and it coats, protects and hardens into a clear glossy finish. I have used it for 3 years and I cannot see any yellowing or wear from the lures I use. I highly recommend this product, it works better than advertised.

	Can is not user friendly
	The clear coat is beautiful. Getting into the can is not easy enough Practically had to ruin the lid to get it opened and am not sure if it will come back off to finish the second half of the quarter. If I do get back into it there won't be a third chance of it. The product is probably the best I've ever sprayed though.

	Awesome so far!
	Did a test piece on wood. Amazing stuff! I saw some reviews that said this does not buff back to gloss, but I was able to wet-sand and rub it out to a high gloss. The trick is to start no rougher than 1200 grit, and work progressively to 3000. The stuff's so hard that sanding flaws will not buff out, at least easily. Also, they recommend a seal coat and 320 for wood, but I found that in my first tests with the spray, the 320 scratches "telegraphed" onto the successive coats. So I let those coats cure, sanded that all flat to 600, then sprayed 2 top coats, and it looks like glass after wet sand and buffing...

	great metal lure clear coat
	I use the dip method of coating my metal lures I use a 1.5 in pvc pipe approx. 12 in long with a good base put in diamond clear about an inch from the top dip lure and dip again hang to dry the next day dip again lure is ready to fish I fish oil rigs in the gulf of mexico and the finish holds up well to the abuse it is given the color of the lure stays sharp and shines bright love this product
