undercoat gun and wax

Worked great had no problems with it. I've needed one for a while, to keep the old VWs from rusting back out after I fix the rust spots.

KBS Cavity Coater First Impressions

I strayed KBS Cavity Coater on exposed metal joints on my 40 year old hobby car. The nozzle sprayed where I aimed it. The product flowed into the joints. My first inpressions are good.

Cavity Coater

I used this for the first time at the end of August so it remains to be seen if it works or not. As for using it, the wand was plenty long enough. I used it on my pickup in the door jams, the bottom of both doors and the tailgate. It comes out a liquid and flows easily but the does setup like wax. I gave the rating I did because it hasn't gone through a Wisconsin winter yet otherwise it is easy to use, it will drip out everywhere it can so if you have a new driveway you want to protect it. I have used KBS products before so I have confidence this will do the job.

Great product

Inexpensive and does exactly what I want. It was a corrosion/rust preventive that you spay all the drain locations of the doors, trunk, hood and remaining body locations. Look at how to use it including YouTube etc. Keeps my new car from rusting for years and years. ????????

So Easy To Apply

When I started thinking about coating my frame I was concerned with the inside thinking that even I coated the outside of the frame the inside would still rust. Found this. So easy to apply and I liked being able to see if weep out when the entire inside had been coated well. High Recommend.

Cavity coater

Purchased three aerosol spray cans over the years. One can came out foamy did not cover well the other two worked great. Assuming it was just a bad mixture.

This stuff works!

Looked at many rust prevention coatings on the market both on line and the auto stores, this coating by far is the best. The ability for the coating to creep and flow into tight areas before turning viscous is what makes this product work. Used this on a 3"x2" box style frame Shorelander boat trailer after repairing some rusted out sections. The extended wand allowed for a complete coating on the inside of the frame along the entire 24' length using the wiring holes in the trailer.

Great Solution

Great solution for hard to get t places. Recently refurbished the roof on my 1964 Mercedes 230SL. There was an "impossible to reach" channel in the back lower portion of the roof. The cavity coater was perfect for the job. I was unable to use the spray head provided but was able to plug the end with a toothpick and drill tiny holes in the tubing. Worked perfectly!

Great product. Easy to use & goes a long way,

So far, I've used KBS Cavity Coater to treat the inner front fender cavities of a '98 Lincoln Town Car. Removing the headlights provided easy access points. I applied KBS Cavity Coater using the extra long wand and the application was fast, easy and painless. The product has a fairly pleasant smell. I chose to apply the product generously but have plenty left in the can to treat the bottoms of the doors and the inner rocker panels. I will likely order a second can for the inner rear quarters and inner frame rails as I plan to treat the entire car. Thank you for putting out a great product in the fight against rust.

Preventing rust beats de rusting and painting

I use this cavity coater on my boat trailer used in salt water. My first trailer (Galvanized steel) just melted with rust after 10 years. I spent $4,000 on a new Aluminum one and have coated this one Steel parts with this product and over the last 3 years I have extremely little rust. This cavity coater works for me.

Works Great, Wand is Superior

This product works very well. I followed the directions as per System Sampler video on You Tube for fixing the pinch welds on my truck doors and tailgate. I may have used a bit too much, as I did have more weeping from the door drain holes, but the wand does provide far superior coverage than does the Eastwood Internal Frame coating (as I have used that product on a different application) and it cleans up easily. I am glad that I found KBS Cavity coater, and it will be the only product I will use of this type. I will be using this also on the lift gate of my SUV. This product is DEFINITELY the way to go.

Product works well. Be careful when pulling the plastic wand as it tends to disattach from the can. Other than that it worked great

Good Coverage

First time using Cavity Coater. Pros. Appears to have very good coverage with extension hose and spray tip. Only time will tell as to how effictive it is. Cons. Too expensive

Woosh!

Boy this stuff comes out F-A-S-T, making a giant mess if there's any way for it to escape from the cavity. You can almost use it to hose down parts while you coat The up-side is, I was able to coat the outside of my parts too - using the leftovers I had to mop up with a rag. Don't take this wrong, I like the product, just wasn't prepared for the mess.

Seems to be great stuff

I used it on a new rocker panel and it seeped out of every seam and drain, made a mess of my floor but, I like that it goes everywhere inside the panles.

I HAVE to review this!

I usually don't leave reviews, but this is a pretty good product. Tried it last year on a project and was impressed, so I've been doing some testing here recently. Sprayed one light coat on a new piece of flat steel, and 6 weeks later the coated area looks new, while the uncoated area is surface rusted. It's seen plenty of rain and sun in 6 weeks, and a bit of ice this week. I keep damp about once a day and water beads right off the coated section. Totally dry and has not left a film, but still protects, pretty awesome to me. I'm a mechanic by trade and the cavity wand is awesome to reach the impossible. Try this stuff!!!

Q: Can I apply Cavity Coater into the back side of the fuse and relay panels under the hood to prevent moisture from causing corrosion in the connections?

A: Yes, absolutely. You can spray the back sides of fuses and relays with Cavity Coater to prevent corrosion which commonly happen under the hood. That is an ideal application.

A: You can reuse the Cavity Wand almost indefinitely.

After each use, simply flush residual Cavity Coater from the Cavity Wand by inverting the Cavity Coater Aerosol can and spraying for 10 seconds to flush Cavity Wand. If you do this, the Cavity Wand will be ready to use the next time it is needed.
