Cycle Tank Sealer Kit - All-Inclusive Kit Seals Tanks Up To 5 Gallons

Followed the instructions to the letter and it sealed the tank from a 43 year old motorcycle just fine. Much les expensive than a new tank ( if I could find one). Thank you!

This worked fantastic on my 2003 Fatboy Tank restoration. The tank was so rusted internally to where I used an electrolysis method to get the initial rust loosened and cleared. I used the Klean and RustBlast to clear the tank. Covered up holes and vent/crossover tubes then applied the tank sealer. Lined perfectly, but did have some extra in the tank when using the entire contents of the can. Rotate as instructed and it will coat nicely. Take your time to do it right with KBS Tank Seal kit. You will not be disappointed.

Follow the instructions closely, especially the part about cleaning well. Clean your tank at least three times and take your time with the coating and don’t assume that it hasn’t puddled up somewhere just because you can’t see it. Start early in the morning when it’s colder so you get extra working time. Use light compressed air to disperse thick spots as it starts to thicken. Also, the small can goes a LONG way, so, have other parts on hand such as kickstands and rear sets that need to be coated as well, this way you don’t waste the excess. Plan on several days to do this project, and several hours on the final day of coating. Have an extra set of hands near by to shine a light inside the tank while you look inside to verify coverage. This is most important of your tank has baffles and deep sumps. Overall excellent.

I discovered that my fuel tank liner was flaking off in sheets and got into complete fuel components. KBS came to the rescue! After applying KBS cleaner, the tank was free of all the flaked liner. Now the tank looks like the inner tank surface looks like it was coated like ceramic marble lining.

This is the second time I've used the tank restorer. If you follow the directions completely, you will get great results! It has been 5 years since I did the first tank, and it still looks as good as the day I restored it!! (And yes, we did use a scope to check the inside completely)

Kit sealed tank perfectly. Removed rust and mad tank like new. Followed the excellent instructions which made results perfect.

I used the fuel tank sealer on a 2 .5 gallon steel gas tank resulting in an excellent outcome. Rust removal and coating is completed. Highly recommend this product following the instructions is key to getting results.

This is my third time using this product (the entire kit) and I’m always thoroughly pleased with the results. This product definitely isn’t for those in hurry, though. My first tank, which I sealed with this very product, did have several issues. I tried to cram cleaning, etching, and sealing into one weekend. I have only myself to blame for the poor results. Fast forward nearly a decade later and I have learned patience. Allowing the tank to fully dry between steps (at least 24hrs), and giving the sealer the 4+ days to cure, and the results couldn’t be better. Take your time with this product, and the results will lead to tank capable of many more miles and gallons of gas of adventure.

This kit is amazing. Was going to trow my tank in the garbage and order a new one. At lease a pound of rust came out of the tank before I started the treatment. KBS made it like new, and I have zero patience with this type of stuff.

Take your time, follow directions closely, and you will not be disappointed.

Purchased the 5 gal motorcycle kit. Everything went as advertised following the directions as recommended. Used the wash with nuts and washers to help loosen some rust. Worked perfectly. Dried inside tank, then acid washed thank for about 30 minutes, rotating every 5-10 minutes. Rinsed tank 3-4 times with water and air dried with shop vac blowing air inside tank. Let set over night and acid wash again for 30 more minutes. Rinsed and air dried the same as before. Let tank sit overnight then poured sealer in tank rotating every 5 minutes to cover all areas including the top of tank. All looks like new and very pleased. After about 1-2 hours I noticed bubbles forming on the center rise in middle of tank. This why I rated 4 stars instead of 5. Tank is 99% better than before. Just hope it last for a while. I would highly recommend product. Easy to work just take your time.

I watched their video on line, ordered the products and they worked just as advertised. I thought I would have to find another tank for this bike, but mine is a good as new now.

I had previously used the Kreem gas tank sealer on my Honda motorcycle tank with very poor results - it had flaked-off and the tank had rusted more underneath the sealer than when I started the repair - very disappointed after following the instructions carefully and the process failed. The tank sat after the Kreem treatment without fuel and it deteriorated and flaked away while I was restoring my motorcycle.... So, after reading reviews and watching many YouTube motorcycle gas tank sealer instructional videos I chose the KBS Cycle Tank Sealer Kit. I also learned that I had to strip the Kreem Sealer and start fresh with the KBS Kit and followed the instructions explicitly. I saved the can and any unused sealer residue that was drained from the tank so as to have it for reference in the future to monitor how well it adheres and stands the test of time. One of the reasons the helped determine which sealer to use was the silver look of the dried product which resembles the original tank interior when it was new. I presently am using the tank with gasoline in it to test and adjust my reconditioned Honda motorcycle - it's not being operated on the road as yet - currently running engine and making adjustments & tuning procedures. Tanks shows no signs of problems with coating and it appears to be perfectly fine.

Works very nice and easy to apply, make the fuel tank better than new. Only thing I should add to fix is the shipping method, Maybe only happened to me but it took so long . Sorry to complain but overall it is worth the wait.

I tried using 110 octane leaded racing gas in my BSA. It caused the inside of the fiberglass tank to start to flake. The KBS system sealed the tank and I'm back to 93 octane pump gas. The instructions were easy to follow and I'm a happy biker again. Thanks KBS!!!

The cleaning and rust removal processes alone made the inside of the tank look brand new! I have a 2002 r6 and the tank has lots of crevices and hard to reach places and I am confident the sealer made its way into all of those places and sealed it up well. Hopefully the sealer will withstand the rest of time. Was hard to get decent pictures that do the product justice. Inside of the tank looks great!

I have full confidence in the motorcycle tank sealer kit. It takes some serious time and effort to complete all three steps, but you can tell by the instructions that this company really knows what they're doing. Probably some of the most thorough instructions I've received with anything, left me with no questions about how to do it. I'll definitely be using this again in the future.
