NuMetal bonds, seals, fills, insulates, anchors, caulks and waterproofs. It cures without shrinking or sagging and can be drilled, tapped, sanded, primed and painted.

Amazing Epoxy

I have a 1969, 43 foot sailboat, with a 50 gallon fuel tank that needed to be replaced due to rust. Instead, I used NuMetal Epoxy and KBS’s mesh, along with their three part strip clean blast seal method. The epoxy mixes expertly and the application is amazing (you can even use this in water), and easy (get your fingers wet to spread). I only wish it came in more colors. The process coulda cost me $1500+, but instead I did the whole thing for around $300. Very happy I found KBS. I also painted my old Perkins diesel engine yellow, using their system. Happy Sailor Woman am I!

No more rust

A body shop friend told me to fix my fender with epoxy putty not bondo. I picked NuMetal because of what I read and very glad I did. It was easy to work with and sand. I used RustSeal under and I know it will not rust out.

Sunbeam Alpine V Steering Wheel Restoration

If your steering wheel is severely cracked like the one from my 1967 Sunbeam Alpine, your troubles are over. My steering wheel had 1/4 inch shrinkage cracks in several places on the steering wheel hub. I was sure I would have to replace it but decided to try to save it. I had nothing to lose. I read some reviews on steering wheel restoration products online and stumbled across KBS NuMetal Epoxy Putty. What a great product! I prepared the steering wheel by veeing out the cracks and drilling some small holes along the edges so the NuMetal would have something to grab on to. This process is shown on the steering wheel restoration video on the KBS web site. Next, I cleaned the wheel thoroughly with paint prep to eliminate any grease, oil, or other residue. With preparation complete, I carefully read the directions for NuMetal. KBS NuMETAL Epoxy Putty comes in two rectangular bars. Simply take equal amounts from each bar and roll together between your gloved hands until it is well mixed and a consistent color. NuMETAL is the consistency of children's clay and very easy to fill cracks and mold shapes, Applying a wet finger makes it easy to smooth NuMetal to get the right contours and minimize sanding. NuMetal dries hard and solid and is fully cured and ready for sanding after 24 hours. After sanding, I sprayed the steering wheel with a plastic adhesion promotor and finish coated it with gloss black spray paint. I could not be more excited about the results. The steering wheel looks brand new. I work on old cars as a hobby and am not used to projects going so well. If you need to repair a steering wheel, try KBS NuMetal Epoxy Putty. I think you will be glad you did!

Worked great!

I needed to fill a rusted out hatchback of a 2010 Escape and this worked perfect. First we treated with the other steps to prep the rust and sealed it and then we packed the hole a bit and used NuMetal on top. Easy to work and smooth. My husband mixed the two parts and I made a snake shape and formed it on. We pained on top with factory paint. We aren’t professionals so it looks a little messy but better than a gaping rust hole!

Solid products

I'm not a body or paint guy. I've been turning tools in industrial applications for 25 years, so I'm not completely inept either. I opted out of fiberglass to treat rust on my 69 C10. I grinded back the rust and exposed healthy bare metal around the area to apply this epoxy. This product better than treating with fiberglass, I'm regretting not using this previously where I have already applied fiberglass. It has a great finish when sanded. It is a great shade of white when dry. Then I used their rust seal epoxy over this puddy and it looks great. Shipping was fast and correct, which most companies are failing at post covid.

Worse than jb weld

Jb weld stopped a crack on an aluminum fuel tank for 1.5 years. This junk lasted 1.5 days before it cracked and leaked. Im sure this review will be deleted. $75 wasted.

Amazing Product

I was skeptical at first about using this product to repair a gas tank that had many pin holes down the side. Boy was I wrong, it worked great! I think the trick was to do it in small batches as it was easier to mix and do a few holes at a time rather than the 10+ i needed to cover. Hopefully it lasts as long as it is advertised for! Held up through sanding and primer spraying too.

NuMetal

I wish I had this stuff 30 years ago! It's easy to shape and work with. I've learned that if you reinforce a joint and make it look like a 1/4 welding bead and then coat it with one of your products, it looks very professional. Awesome stuff. Will be ordering more in the future.

Excellent for minor rust repairs on body panels.

Had purchased to restore a cracked steering wheel but was working on 37 Ford body with small rust pin holes in difficult area to replace metal panel. Cleaned rust and applied epoxy. Adhered and dried prefect. A little sanding and pin holes fixed. Much better than bondo.

perfect patch

I am working on Old Chevy truck. Had lots of pin hole areas around windshield, cab corners, dash. Cleaned and sanded areas, applied rust blast. then applied rust seal and filled with KBS epoxy putty. Let it harden sanded smooth then did regular body work were needed and primed. If you have thin metal that you don't want o weld in new piece or can't because of location this is the stuff.

great stuff

Used around windshield and between rocker and floor pan. Had some rust and small holes. Cleaned area first. Used some Blast to stopped the rust and harden the metal. Sprayed in some rust resistant paint then filled the area with the epoxy and sanded. Worked great.

Kudos to KBS

I would not have ever believed that I would find a product to repair rust holes in the trunk of my car. I had been coping forever to repair these holes in my 1973 Pontiac Ventura. Kudos to KBS Coatings for discovering this product.

fixed steering wheel on a 59 dodge !

STEERING WHEEL WITH PIECES MISSING. NO LUCK FINDING ONE IN GOOD SHAPE SO WITH NOTHING TO LOOSE . OVER FILLED USING PUDDY. CURED AND WENT TO TOWN FILING AND SANDING. COAT OF PAINT AND THE WHEEL LOOKS LIKE NOS.

Appears to have done the job.

I used this to plug a pinhole in a motorcycle gas tank that remained after using the KBS Coating system on the interior.(For the record, the pinhole was not the fault of the coating system or its application.) The bike has been full of gas now for more than a month and the NuMetal is holding firm. However, the bike has been ridden very little due to other work I'm doing on it. If it continues to hold after a month of riding, I'd give the product five stars.

Restored Steering Wheel

I used this to restore a 67 Mustang steering wheel.So far it has worked great.It is easy to apply and finishes good.I threw the rubber gloves away and used my bare hands and it worked much better.
