Coverage:

The Headlight Restore Kit should allow coverage of 4 or more average size headlight lenses.

1. Assess current headlight condition:

Although our KBS Headlight Restore Kit has been said to “perform miracles”, the condition of some lenses are beyond restoration and need to be replaced. Please evaluate your headlight lenses objectively before proceeding.

2. Klean and Scuff

In a proper container, mix 1 part KBS Klean with 10 parts hot water. Wearing gloves provided, dip scuff pad in Klean solution and Klean & scuff the entire headlight lens surface to remove any bugs, tar, wax, and/or road contaminants.

NOTE: Be careful not to scuff any surrounding painted or chromed surfaces. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Repeat Klean as necessary. Using a clean & dry towel/cloth, dry lens surface to remove standing water to eliminate spotting. Allow lenses to air dry thoroughly.

3. Apply DiamondFinish Clear

NOTE: Do not apply in direct sunlight. Open can and stir contents thoroughly. DO NOT SHAKE. Using supplied brush(es), working from top to bottom & side to side, apply a liberal coat of DiamondFinish clear brushing mainly in one direction. Do not over brush the coating. Avoid applying too heavy to avoid runs & drips.

Once coated, allow DiamondFinish Clear to dry (typically 1-2 hrs to touch). Allow overnight curing before putting lenses back into service. One coat is normally sufficient for lasting protection. A 2nd coat may be applied any time after 48 hrs.

4. Clean Up

Use KBS #1 Thinner or lacquer thinner for immediate clean up.

IMPORTANT: Remember DiamondFinish Clear must be cleaned up before it dries. It cannot be removed by any solvent once cured. Always wear protective gloves to avoid skin contact. If skin contact accidentally occurs, immediately remove with #1 Thinner or lacquer thinner followed by soap and water.
