Commercial truck frame

Used on a 2006 peterbilt frame,was very heavily corroded from road salt,used a pressure washer to clean and remove debris.i followed directions for product and am very pleased with results,used the frame top coater as well.

Kbs frame coater

Used this product twice now once on my jeep frame and again on the bottom side of my truck bed. I did my jeep frame 7 years ago and still looks like the day i did it just follow the directions carefully and your good. Also the more prepwork you do the better the end result will be.

Great Color, Great Finish

The gentleman on the support line recommended the kit containing the KBS Klean and Rust Blast as pre-treatments for a Stock Tank Pool I'm going to put in my backyard. I used a quart of the paint on each side (inside and outside of the tank) after prepping the tank as directed. I was amazed a quart did it for each side but it looks great with just one coat! I've used this paint for other projects and have been very impressed with the durability. If you are going to use it on exposed areas, make sure to get the UV resistant type. If not the color will fade in the sun. The UV paint does a great job too on things exposed like trailers,mowers... or any items exposed to the sun.

Wow, while likely not as perfect as powder coating (and not the cost either), it really was a simple procedure for excellent results. And no need for messy spray painting as this product goes on with a brush and hardens to withstand weather and shop conditions.

Look at this

Great product. I used this on my recent frame off restoration and was blown away by the ease of use, quality and finish of this product. It leveled out after sitting overnight and was very smooth the next day. I am impressed with all the products I have purchased from KBS and will be using 5hem in the future.

Tried the others, found the best

With a complete package available in this kit you'll end up with a great job after following the directions. The CLEAN does just that it CLEANS like nothing I've tried before. That's the base for any project is having a clean surface. I use this professionally and will order again

KBS Coatings, Large Frame Kit

Hey all, I don't usually leave reviews on products but since I got an e-mail about doing one and being happy with my result I figured I'd share my experience. *DISCLAIMER* I personally sand blasted my frame and rearend as best I could before applying the KBS Coatings kit so your results may differ. After sandblasting, I applied the KBS Klean as the instructions stated, I worked in sections because a frame is quite a large task to do by yourself. I followed this same method with the Rust Blast. When applying both of these products to my rear axle, I just cleaned everything at once because it was much less work compared to my frame. Now, here's why I gave the product 4 stars, it says once Rust Blast is applied it should survive ~30 days depending on weather, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt here considering I was working outside and it was a pretty rainy week. My frame experienced more flash rust (again most likely due to the weather not the product failing to do it's job). So, I used KBS Klean and Rust Blast again on sections of my frame that I did not finish before the rainy weather and the rust that was there came right off. As for the Rust Sealer, this stuff is amazing. I personally brushed it on to my frame and rear axle with the help of some friends for the majority of my project. My neighbor thought I sprayed the Rust Sealer on because it leveled out so nicely. All in all, I would really recommend this project for anyone trying to get rid of rust right the first time. Awesome products

Used on my 2003 Tahoe frame. Looks amazing first time using a hvlp gun. Was a learning curve to it. Used the rest of kit on my daughter's avalanche came out looking great. Highly recommend for frame of our not is way to. use. Have used the extreme high temp paint on exhaust as well. 6 month later still looks great.

F150 under carriage

Used the large frame coater kit. Followed the instructions. Applied the Rust Seal using a under coat spray gun from Amazon. Got a better than expected results. Application looks professional and if works like past KBS projects should extend vehicle life another 10 years.

Great paint

This was a great product. I used it for the inside of my Jeep Wrangler. So far after only about 1 month the paint has held up very well and gave the interior a nice new look. The only reason it doesn't get 5/5 stars is because if you don't get a really even coat it'll dry different shades of black or even mat. On the second coat we used rollers (used brushes on the first) and the color came out very uniform and nice.

Great Price, Easy To Use and Great Finish!

Liked that the product arrived quickly and did exactly as described. I was also absolutely impressed with the amount of rust the Rust Blast removed without me having to do nothing more but spraying and washing off. The Seal was brushed on easily, was self leveling and left a glossy smooth finish. KBS is a great product for any DIY project who wants to accomplish a factory finish for a fraction of the price.

Better than the others

Used this on my Highlander years ago and still holding strong. There’s a lot of prep work but it’s worth it in the end. I got the frame coater for my Tundra because I didn’t like the coating Toyota put on the frame. Again a lot of prep work but the results far exceed Toyota’s wet coat. Only wish they had a cavity coater with the Rust seal in it but on a larger scale. We’ll see how it works out on this one.

Works Great, Highly Recommend

I have used the Frame Coater kit several times in the past and it is the perfect amount for the frame. I wanted to do the frame and underside on my F150 so I ordered this kit to get more stuff. Great deal! Very happy.

Provides a great hard finish. Would buy again.

I used product to coat two 130 inch 3x5 rectangular steel tubing that is going to be an aquarium stand for a 300 gallon aquarium. I was in need to protect as much as I can against corrosion from salt water.

Great product, would definitely use again

The product was exactly as described. The Rust Seal is thin. Likes to run but if you invest in a high quality brush the problem is solved. I started out using cheap brushes and while painting under the car it would run down the end of the brush and completely cake the handle with the product. Once i invested in a very pricey brush it worked fantastic and no more running down through the brush. The amount of product in this package was almost perfect down to the last drop. No waste but I don't have to order additional product either. Looks great and would buy again.

Q: Will this paint over the paint that is still on the trailer frame as well? I have a trailer that use to be white, there are sections that are white still with rust spots. Can I just brush this kit over it?

A: Yes. Simply wire wheel the trailer frame to get rid of the loose paint. Clean the entire trailer frame with KBS Klean. Etch all of the bare metal spots with RustBlast. Then brush on the 2 coats of RustSeal.

A: It is always best to use KBS Klean, RustBlast, and RustSeal within two years of purchase. For the KBS Klean and RustBlast, shake well. For the RustSeal, stir well before use.

Q: I’m an experienced auto body tech. My frame will be sandblasted. Can your coatings be applied and look/work properly with spray equipment?

A: Yes, you can apply RustSeal with an HVLP Spray Gun. Spray pressure of 35-45 psi (250-330kpa) for siphon/pot guns and 25-35psi (170-250kpa) for gravity/top container guns. As a general rule of thumb, we recommend a 1.4-1.5 tip size. Thinning is not generally required but if needed 5%-10% is normally adequate. Use KBS #1 Thinner only which is a slow evaporating solvent. Do not reduce RustSeal with lacquer thinner. Also remember to clean your spray gun immediately after using RustSeal.
