What's Included in a KBS Rust Prevention Kit?
Every KBS chassis coating kit is built around RustSeal, a one-part, moisture-cure rust preventive coating that forms a tough, non-porous barrier against rust, chemicals, and UV exposure. Most kits include full surface prep — KBS Klean degreaser and RustBlast rust remover — so you can clean, etch, and coat in a single system.
"All-In-One" and "Chassis Coater" kits add BlackTop chassis paint as a UV-stable top coat, giving your frame or undercarriage a finished, factory-quality appearance. For projects involving enclosed frame rails or box sections, look for kits with "Inside-Out Rust Protection" — these include Cavity Coater that penetrates and protects areas you can't reach with a brush.
How to Choose the Right Kit Size
12.5 sq ft (Sampler Kits): Ideal for motorcycle frames, spot repairs, test areas, rocker panels, and small brackets. A great way to try the KBS system before committing to a larger project.
50 sq ft (Mid-Size Kits): Covers a standard car or truck frame, suspension components, axle housings, trunk floors, or floor pans with two coats of RustSeal.
