Excellent system (follow the directions)

I purchased the All in One Chassis Kit for my 1986 Grand Wagoner. Easy to use and I had a fantastic result. Both the patch kit and epoxy came in handy.

1976 Trans Am Restored

I used the KBS Trunk and Floorpan Repair Kit to restore the rust damaged floor pans of my 1976 Trans Am. I had previously spent countless hours attempting to weld and patch the deteriorated areas. Finally, I turned to KBS and finished the entire floor in a single day.

new roof buick 76 electra 455

I have used KBS a lot it is wonderful. CLEANED,RUST BLASTED AND SEALED the roof for a new vinyl top and came out great the seal was beautiful as I painted on did not use my airbrush. Thanks KBS

I recently removed the interior of my 1962 Thunderbird to install sound deadening insulation. I was lucky to have hardly any rust on the floor and trunk but I did not want to apply new fairly expensive insulation to old fairly dirty metal. I was searching just for a auto floor cleaner when I found KBS. The repair kit allowed me to clean and seal so that I have no worries about what is under the insulation and new carpet. I also purchased two additional quarts of Rustseal since there was a lot of metal to seal. I used the Backbone in the kit to seal a dozen small holes in the floor and trunk. Thanks to KBS products I have no problem driving confidently in wet weather without moisture coming in from the road. Older and especially classic or vintage cars likely need interior rustproofing. Thanks again.

Very good product, had a few small holes and following the directions they were covered very easily. The process is a little bit of work but the finished product is well worth it.

Great product...better than alternative products

I have used the other brand of kit as well and this system is as good if not better and you get enough product to do a much larger area...and it costs less! Great experience eliminating rust from my floor pans and sealing them to minimize future issues. Requires a few days of time going back to apply more coats, but works as advertised.

everything you need except blacktop seal

used to coat the roof and frame of my truck build. just follow the directions and this product should work great.

works good just takes a while to complet

Does what it says you just have to follow the instructions. The longer you leave the rust blast on the better it works. Buy better brushes, the ones that come with it shed and en up in the paint.

Easy and looks great

I researched online for a product that will stop and seal the rust in the trunk of my 1959 T-Bird, and decided on trying KBS Trunk & Floorpan Repair Kit. I had some rough pitting and a few minute holes in the trunk floor and needed something that will look good. I followed the directions that comes with the kit. First, clean out as much rust, dirt, and grime on the areas you're fixing. Then you constantly keep the areas wet with the included Aquakleen, then rinse it off. After it dries well, you use RustBlast the same way, keeping it wet, then rinsing off until it dries. When you use the final product, Rust Seal, it's almost as thin as water. For the whole floor of the trunk I used less than half of a soda can. After a couple of hours drying, I put another coat, and repeated for the 3rd coat. I had a few pinholes in the trunk floor, so I used some of the Backbone reinforcing mesh, and a small wad of NuMetal on a larger hole. Everything was real easy to follow and use. It just takes patience waiting for dry times. It was so easy that I can't think of a negative thing to say. I used the gloss black, and it looks great!

Excellant product

Very easy to use just follow directions.I've used 2 products from KBS.The floor and trunk repair and gas tank repair.Both products worked really well on my 51 Buick.I would certainly recommend KBS coatings for anyone restoring an older vehicle.

Simple and easy

Really easy to use and covers really well,just follow the instructions.The floorboard in my '51 Buick was in fair shape ,but with lots of pin holes .Kbs trunk and floorpan repair worked great and looks really good and there is no more flex in the floorboard at the gas pedal!!

hot ****

Product truly exceeded my expectations. Used the rustseal & multiple layers of fiberglass cloth to repair the rusted through floorpans of my '64 Falcon. The seal dries rock hard & even with my 210lbs. the floor doesn't deflect under my weight. The rustblast is slow going, you have to let it work & you have to keep it wet but it does a great job of eliminating the rust right down to fresh virgin metal. I'm confident these floorpans will last at least as long as the originals.

So far so good...

I'm using KBS Coatings to repair some not-so-minor drip rail/rain gutter rust issues on a 1970 VW Bus. The instructions are very easy to follow, and the kit comes with everything you need to do the cleaning, priming and repair/patch work after you've thoroughly prepped the spots needing attention. There is plenty of BackBone to MORE than address the holes of my project. I had a little bubbling occur, but I'm sure it's because I applied the coating product a little bit too thick (the fiberglass soaks it up and then made a little glob at the bottom of the backing). Product dries fast and is extremely solid. Will be applying a top coat of enamel to protect further and cover up the not so great Off White color (which goes on white, but turns almost yellow when cured). My next order will be regular White. Haven't used the Epoxy or needed the Thinner...YET. Will be using the Epoxy to fill some cracks on the front nose panel to get me through this winter - can't wait to try it!

Durable Finish

I am in the process of updating a NASCAR Busch Grand National Stock car to current racing specs to run it in amateur road racing. One of the items I needed to address was the expired fuel cell and associated pieces. The cell is mounted in a recess in the trunk area of the car. WHen I removed the cell, there was significant corrosion in the recess. In addition, I plan to re-coat (over time) the entire interior and underside with a red color similar to the existing color. Normal paint won't cut it. I purchased this kit to try out the product thinking that if I didn't like it, the coating would be limited to the trunk area. As it turns out, I am happy with it and, over time, plan to redo the entire interior and underside of the car with the Oxide Red. My only neagtive is the number of steps to get to a proper finish. However, this may be the nature of the beast and I need to accept this to get a quality result.

Your product is great. Everything is disbribed in the directions in detail. My floor is like brand new all of the rust is gone. & the new metal putty is excellent. Will deal with again very soon.

Worked Great

I used this kit for the rusted trunk pan in my 59 Ford Galaxie. It worked great and I feel confident putting my new floor mat over the finish. One recommendation I have is if you have larger holes to patch, you can use some of the nu-metal putty, and put it on a piece of the fiberglass mesh and use that as a patch, then paint over it. It dries solid and really fills any holes.

Corvette Floor Pans

I used KBS floorpan kit to make my rusted out 76 Stingray floor pans look like new. The self leveling quality of KBS resulted in a smooth glossy black finish. Easy to use. I have recommended it to others doing similar restorations.

Your Product and Instructions are BETTER

i used your kit to do the floor of my 1987 ford ranger truck . kit was easy to use , instructions were very good , results ! a nice looking floor in about 20 hours . about 3-4 hours of total work . i have used other brands and find your product and instructions BETTER.

even for problem jobs

I needed to seal the inside of my honda gas tank I ran across kbs coating system and what a deal I was especially concerned about getting the whole inside of the tank but add the rust blast seal the tank and roll it around ... the fact that it was a proper viscosity for spraying was another plus good product....

Recommend to Anyone

I was a little skeptical as I've never used this product or anything like it before but I needed to fix rusted through floorpans on my restoration project. I was pleasantly surprised with how hard the product is after drying and how well it worked to fix the rusted through parts. I would definitely use again and would recommend to anyone thinking about using it-especially if you don''t have access to a welder or patch panels for your project. I can''t wait to prime and paint !
