Beautiful product

This stuff is great. Works well and looks good. I have zero complaints and will continue to use it for my small business of undercoating.

Good stuff

Looks good, sprays well. Overspray wipes right off with a little xylene. I'll be buying more in the futurem

Love This Stuff!

It holds up very well to the calcium chloride and other road salts they use here. Road debris like rocks and other things don’t seem to bother it either. Personally I love to use it on the skid plates of my Jeep.

works well

this is the best solvent-based undercoating I have found. goes on well in all types of applications. it holds on well to all metal as long as all dirt is removed.

Works great !!

Received my shipment sooner than expected which is a plus. This stuff is easy to work with . This stuff sprays on smooth and looks awesome when it dries . I am ordering and other case .

Sticks Great

This stuff is old school asphalt undercoat like you used to see from the factories before they went to the rubber/was stuff. Sticks great to just about everything.

Bitumen?!?

Most people state the most durable undercoating is asphalt based, while most asphalt based coatings must be sprayed on. However, this KBS asphalt undercoating is easily and readily brushed on. Also, from research, this appears to be a bitumen coating. I've been looking all over for the past couple of years looking for affordable bitumen coating, while seemingly the market has moved towards using two part polyurethane coatings for underground tanks. Long story short, if you own a home and are constantly performing DIY projects, buy a gallon can and use when burying metal underground, unless you're already using two part polyurethane coatings or just want to use cheap five gallon bucket of tar. I am using this KBS asphalt undercoating for dealing with Ohio's vehicle assaults with corrosive chemical road salt solutions. As usual, only time will tell the results, until some benchmarks are performed. The undercoating does not cover with one coat, and requires at least two coats. (See TIPS below.) Another plus, the shelf life should be a couple of years or more, likely many years as long as storage conditions are good; and can be purchased in bulk or gallon cans. TIP: When brushing, the first coat creates a thin almost transparent coat, while the second coat will have signs of adequate coverage and signs of properly adhering to the applied medium. TIP: Cleans with mineral spirits, and I do not recall having to thin the product at all. Does require adequate mixing!

Excellent

So far I am very pleased with this undercoating. It went on easily with a schutz gun, sprayed out well and looks good. The included product information didn't have any details on recoat times or suggested individual & final film thicknesses but the KBS online chat agent was helpful and gave me some recommendations. I needed 2 gallons to do the underside of a standard cab and 8' long bed. I haven't completed the project so I cannot speak to the product's longevity in various weather / road conditions but so far I have no complaints.

As Good As Any Other

Applied super easy. It holds up great to salt and rock damage, and the wear and tear of the road. Dry time is about 30 min to the touch, and a full cure is about 24 hours. Great stuff for a super price.
